Worship

God has been seeking you before you were even born. Wherever you have run or wherever you find yourself…God is there. Looking beyond ourselves. Turning our gaze from the inward and allowing ourselves to respond to God is our act of worship. God is uniquely revealed and experienced when we are gathered with others to worship.

What to Expect

We invite you to come as you are…as Jesus would have you. Our Sunday morning worship experiences will have live band-led music and a time of teaching.

Serve Teams

Our desire is to help people encounter the heart of God through congregational singing. We are looking for people willing to grow in their HEART for God, EXCELLENCE in musicianship and COMMUNITY with each other.

The Tech Team consists of computer, switching slides, lighting and sound. This team is just as much a part of the worship team as the musicians. The two teams work side by side to help deliver a cohesive, and distraction free corporate worship setting on Sunday mornings.

The heart of the Creative Team is to complement the services, sermon series’, and various seasons of the church with visual elements. The desire of these creative elements are to draw people deeper into worship, rather than distract.

Become an adult leader

The Hospitality Team seeks to greet everyone warmly and ensures everyone feels at home.

Our Safety Team is a select group of people responsible for anticipating what is next, what could happen, and responding through their training. You will always find them with a smile and a willingness to jump in and help.

Kids

At MidNaz Kids, we want to partner with parents to help kids Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Their Purpose and Play Their Role in God’s Story. We do this through our kid’s Sunday morning worship service, small groups, and service opportunities.

K-5

On Sunday mornings, we have a FUN, dynamic service just for elementary kids that combines large group worship and Bible teaching, followed by small group connections and life application. The three basic truths that we want kids to learn are, “I can make the wise choice, I should treat others the way I want to be treated, and I can trust God no matter what.” We place consistent adult and teen leaders with our small groups and use curriculum that is customized to each age group’s stage of development.

Our small group connections happen on Sunday mornings; in support groups such as Divorce Care for Kids; and throughout the week as we provide curriculum to adult life groups with kids that reinforces what was learned on Sunday morning.

Kids are not only to learn about God, but be part of His Church right here and now. Whether they are greeting at the doors of the chuch, cleaning the kitchen at Midland’s Open Door or packing boxes for Convoy of Hope, our kids are active and serving!

Nursery & Preschool

Our nursery is staffed by caring adults who follow current cleanliness and safety standards. All our toys and surfaces are cleaned after each use. We use a family safe, all-natural, EPA approved disinfectant that kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, including SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). While in our care, your baby is prayed over, sung to and told God’s truths.

Starting at age 2, we give our littlest friends their first look at who their heavenly Father is by teaching them that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Through crafts, song and games, we make sure kids have fun while learning about Jesus!

Safety

Your child’s safety is of utmost concern to us, which is why all of our children’s ministry volunteers go through a thorough screening process which includes a background check and Ministry Safe training. We also have a dedicated safety team that always has a member stationed in our children’s area.

When you arrive at MidNaz, we have several kids kiosks with friendly staff to help you check-in your child(ren). Our system will create a name tag for your child along with a matching parent “receipt” which will allow your child to only be released to you at the end of service.

Partnering with Parents

We know parenting is tough, and we want to come alongside you and help out! We also know that we as a church will only have about 40 hours a year with your child, while you as a parent will have around 3000 hours. This is why what you do at home matters! When the church and home are saying the same thing at the same time, we can have a greater impact on the life of a child. Through use of the Parent Cue App, we make it easy to continue conversations from Sunday and bring them into your everyday life during the week. Blog posts and podcasts on the app also help encourage you as a parent. Need access to resources for tough conversations, sexual integrity, technology use, and faith guides? We have those, too!

Youth

Our vision is for students to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover their purpose, and Play a Role in God’s Story.

Sunday Night Youth Group
5-7pm

Youth Group is the main worship gathering for teens that typically happens at the church. The night is shaped by an activity, worship, message, and group discussion led by our adult leaders. These nights are a great entry point for new students to connect and see what we’re about.

Mid-week Life Groups
6:30-8pm

Senior High (1st and 3rd Wednesday) and Middle School (2nd and 4th Wednesday) Life Groups happen twice a month at Pastor James’ house. These nights are for students to connect and grow deeper in their faith through various bible based studies.

Annual Trips

Throughout the year we will have camps, mission trips, winter retreats and other fun experiences that will give students a chance to serve, grow, and create lasting memories within their faith journey.

If you would like more information on our Student Ministry you can email Pastor James at james@midlandnaz.org.
