MidNaz Students

MidNaz Students

MidNaz Students is all about helping teens follow Jesus and inviting others to do the same. Each Sunday night, students spend time together, worship, hear a message rooted in Scripture, and connect in small groups led by trusted leaders. It’s a space where they can ask real questions, build lasting friendships, and grow in their faith.

Throughout the year, we offer events and trips—from events held locally to retreats to mission experiences—that give students a chance to have fun, connect with others, and deepen their walk with Jesus. We also aim to support families as they navigate faith and life with their teenagers.

We design everything with both middle schoolers and high schoolers in mind, offering age appropriate teaching, opportunities to grow, and environments where every student feels seen, known, and valued.

Sunday Nights During the School Year

At Midland Nazarene, we believe teenagers matter deeply—not just someday, but right now. Our youth ministry exists to help students follow Jesus and invite others to do the same. Through weekly gatherings, focused groups, and meaningful events, we create space for students to explore faith, build community, and take ownership of their walk with Christ.

What To Expect

Each week during the school year, students gather on Sunday nights to hang out, worship together, hear a message rooted in Scripture, and connect in small groups led by trained adult leaders. These small groups help students process what they’re learning and how it connects to real life.

Beyond Sundays

We regularly plan events that give students the chance to have fun and connect with each other—sometimes just for the fun of it, and sometimes as part of a deeper journey like a winter retreat, youth conference, or mission trip. In all of our events, we value experiences that help students grow in friendship, faith, and purpose. You can expect to hear about things from short-term age specific groups that will explore faith together to large group events where all students join in exciting activities and shared experiences.

Our Focus

We want every student to experience a life of following Jesus—and be equipped to live it out. We’re building consistent rhythms that encourage students to know and follow Jesus in everyday, tangible ways. We’re also resourcing parents to walk alongside their teens in faith at home.

Middle School & High School

We understand that middle schoolers and high schoolers are in different places developmentally and spiritually. That’s why our small groups are age-specific and designed to meet students where they are—with space to ask questions, build trust, and grow in faith. Some of our environments are shared, while others are shaped uniquely for each age group, creating meaningful experiences for every student.

Why It’s Important

We know students today are navigating more than ever—pressure, distraction, identity, and big questions about who they are and what matters. Rather than compete with everything pulling at their attention, we aim to come alongside students and families, offering something deeper: a story shaped by Jesus.
